Product Recalls: Recall of Segway Kickscooter P100 SU

 
 
 

Dear Valued Customer, 

 

We are writing to inform you of a potential safety issue affecting certain Segway P100 SU scooters. Based on recent testing and investigations, for certain batch of front forks, a part within front fork may have reduced durability, posing a risk of breakage, especially when ridden over rough terrain or on uneven surfaces for extensive time. As such, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Segway, Inc., have announced a voluntary recall of select units of the Segway KickScooter P100 SU, which were manufactured between February 19, 2023 and March 19, 2023. 

 

For your safety, we urge owners of P100 SU scooters that may be affected by this issue to immediately stop using their scooters. Consumers who may have purchased a P100 SU KickScooter manufactured during the subject period can contact Segway at (EMAIL: recall@segway.com), website: https://service.segway.com/recall, or phone number tollfree at 8664734929 (from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday) for additional information and to obtain free replacement services of the part on affected units.  

 

How to Identify Your Scooter: You can check the manufacturing date of your scooter by locating the serial number. If the sixth through ninth digits of your serial number indicate “2308” or later (e.g., xxxxx2308xxxxx, xxxx2310xxxxx, xxxxx2311xxxxx), your scooter could be affected.
